Experimental film books
Just stumbled across these scans of early experimental film books courtesy of the Internet Archive; the Stan Brakhage issue of Film Culture which contains Brakhage's highly influential essay "Metaphors on Vision" is particularly difficult to track down for a reasonable price these days, so it's really wonderful to see it shared online here for free. You can even download them for your Kindle or e-reader if you've got one. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteI guess the Film Culture upload explains why I managed to pick up a half-decent copy cheap a few months back (even if it was a later reprint missing the Fluxus corrugated card cover for Brakhage's eye to peek out of). Need to buy physical copies of the other two to satisfy the cursed book collector in me...
