  1. Looks good, photos of my work are better than the ones I have, could you email me them so I can put them on my website? You'll even get a photographers credit!

  2. great stuff! I'm liking this alot. Particulary (what I'm assuming to be) Sams. And the army guys are quite amazing. I'm pleased with my video too - quite a brilliant plinth and does what we spoke about when I last saw you.
Good turn out? Good reaction? Sorry I couldn't make it. Still poor...

  3. The strip light installation is Sam's, no one seemed to realise that there was text on the light buld that reflected on the back panel of the light without me informing the people who attended the exhibition. This could have been down to the curation of Sam's work which unfortunately could only go in the one place, due to thickness of walls and power supply or how people approach art here, in the typical lets just stare at it from a distance routine.

The show for those who did attend (there was about a grand total of 10 or so) was well received and after talking to them about the exhibition were on board with our ideas. However the rest of the FVOS attracted hundreds of people so I would say the exhibition was a success.

The army men belong to Jen Martin, you can read her thoughts about that work on her latest post but they were probably the most talked about thing in the exhibition, them and a found sheep skull that was in the exhibition as I didn't want it getting smashed.

With your video I was going to put it on the TV and plinth in which was used for Kits video but after thinking about our conversation I decided to go with a make shift plinth and a small tv in attempt to rid that cinematic quality you had at the degree which, which I think complemented the shortness of your video. To be honest I much prefer the conversation between yourself and Richard about Attenboroughs this seemed to work more than The Landlady in trying to challenge the semiotics of cinema, considering that there was only one part of The LandLady instead of the two so there was nothing to show that the audio had been swapped. No one who visited the show really paid much attention to the video work apart from one person who claimed that video was not an art form.

For the people who ventured into the exhibition gave positive feedback but I think finally having a show by some of us together in the same place is more important than general feedback. I look forward to the next show in which hopefully we are all representing (not that anyone was excluded from Paradies, the timing and advertising for it could have been better)

  4. I've added the title and artist to each image so it is easy to distinguish who made what. sorry if I have got any of them wrong.
